What they needed:
The Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church Women’s Ministry held their annual women’s conference in February, and they came to us in need of a strong brand and several printed pieces to build up the excitement and awareness of their conference. The challenge we faced with this project is making the brand strong enough to distinguish this conference from the many other women’s conferences that happen each year in Birmingham.
We started with a logo to fit the conference’s theme, “Designed to Shine;” a theme that we felt more than comfortable with being an office of only women. The logo’s main feature is the silhouette of a woman with her face raised to the sun and wind in her hair, and this logo and color scheme were used on all the pieces we designed. That included a save-the-date card, posters, flyers, an interactive promo video, large banners, noteboosk, and buttons for the leaders to wear to indicate who was in charge.
